5月17日，华能盛东如东海上风电首批20台机组共100兆瓦容量并网成功。该项目位于江苏省南通市如东县牛角沙海域，年平均风速高达7.77米每秒。
项目规划共400兆瓦容量，分两期建设，一期拟安装60台5兆瓦的海装风电机组。该项目计划年底前全部投产，对落实集团公司“东线”发展战略，推进地方绿色能源发展，加快产业升级具有重要意义。
