合众国际社10月28日报道称，亚洲发展银行（ADB）日前宣布，该行将对印度可再生能源发展提供金融支持。
ADB与新德里签署了一份价值2亿美元的贷款协议，以支持印度清洁能源计划。这是印度5亿美元贷款计划的第一批。ADB表示，该计划将促进私人投资，范围包括风能、生物质能等可再生能源。该行的融资额相当于印度项目初始投资的50%。
“ADB的贷款将帮助政府扩大建设可再生能源基础设施、应对气候变化、保障能源安全。”ADB印度区负责人Teresa Kho说。
